Experience and perspective

I started my career as a school leaver in the UK, joining one of the country’s big four banks in the mid-1980s. Over nine years, I progressed through a management trainee program and built hands-on experience across lending, currency exchange, import and export documentation, and most aspects of back-end branch banking.

In the early 1990s, I emigrated to Australia with my husband, and over the years that followed, I wore many hats: accounts payable for a large construction company, small business administration and bookkeeping across industries as varied as pest control, gymnastics, and antiques, and a stint as a tuckshop lady while my daughters were small.

In 2019, I made the move into financial planning, joining Morgan as an all-rounder from day one. I’ve been here ever since, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.

Role at Lume Wealth

I keep the back-end advice process running smoothly so that clients experience a seamless journey from start to finish.

In practice, that means managing advice implementation, liaising with product providers, coordinating among clients, advisers and third parties, and ensuring documentation is thorough and timely. There are a lot of moving parts in the advice process, and my job is to make sure none of them goes missing.

Life outside of Lume Wealth

My two adult daughters both live on the Sunshine Coast, and being part of their lives is a big priority for me.

Latin dancing has been a constant. It’s actually how Morgan and I first met. I volunteer at my dance school, and it remains my favourite way to switch off. Beyond that, you’ll find me at the beach, by the pool, out with friends enjoying new experiences, or planning my next overseas adventure. The bucket list is long and growing!
